AN ACT PROHIBITING PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURERS
FROM CONSIDERING COMPARABLE MOTOR VEHICLES IN
CALCULATING THE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
property and casualty insurers from considering comparable motor 2
vehicles in calculating the fair market value of a motor vehicle. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit property and casualty insurers from considering
comparable motor vehicles in calculating the fair market value of a
motor vehicle.
