AN ACT CONCERNING AN ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER'S ABILITY TO ACCESS AN ANIMAL IN DISTRESS IN A PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 52-557u of the general statutes be amended to ensure 1 that an animal control officer, in the course of performing his or her 2 official duties, may access a passenger motor vehicle, including 3 accessing such vehicle by force, to assist an animal in distress. 4 Statement of Purpose: To allow an animal control officer, when performing his or her official duties, to gain access to an animal in distress in a passenger motor vehicle.
