AN ACT LIMITING THE AMOUNT OF ATTORNEY'S FEES THAT MAY BE AWARDED IN A PROCEEDING INVOLVING THE FORECLOSURE OF A LIEN THAT RESULTED FROM AN UNPAID PENALTY IMPOSED BY A MUNICIPALITY FOR A VIOLATION OF AN ORDINANCE REGULATING BLIGHT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 7-148aa of the general statutes be amended to establish 1 a limit on the amount of attorney's fees that may be awarded in a 2 proceeding to foreclose a lien that resulted from an unpaid penalty 3 imposed by a municipality for a violation of an ordinance regulating 4 blight. 5 Statement of Purpose: To limit the amount of the attorney's fees that may be awarded in the foreclosure of a lien under section 7-148aa of the general statutes.
