2020 AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL TAX APPEALS AND
2121 CONTINGENCY AGREEMENTS.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That section 12-117a of the general statutes be amended to require 1
2626 persons representing property owners or lessors in certain appeals 2
2727 concerning real property assessments to be either attorneys or certified 3
2828 or provisionally licensed real estate appraisers and to prohibit certified 4
2929 or provisionally licensed real estate appraisers from entering into 5
3030 contingency fee agreements in such appeals. 6
3131 Statement of Purpose:
3232 To require persons representing property owners or lessors in certain
3333 appeals concerning real property assessments to be either attorneys or
3434 certified or provisionally licensed real estate appraisers and to prohibit
3535 certified or provisionally licensed real estate appraisers from entering
3636 into contingency fee agreements in such appeals.
