AN ACT EXPANDING THE NURSE'S AIDE REGISTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 378a of the general statutes be amended to redefine 1
nurse's aide to include an individual providing nursing or nursing-2
related services to residents in an assisted living facility with nursing 3
supervision for purposes of including such individuals in the registry 4
of nurse's aides and requiring oversight of such individuals that is 5
equivalent to the oversight of nurse's aides who provide such services 6
to residents in a chronic and convalescent nursing home or rest home 7
with nursing supervision. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To require oversight of individuals providing nurse's aide services in
an assisted living facility with nursing supervision that is equivalent to
the oversight of nurse's aides who provide such services to residents in
a chronic and convalescent nursing home or rest home with nursing
supervision.
