AN ACT CONCERNING IMMUNITY FOR POLICE REMOVING
ANIMALS FROM HOT CARS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow a police officer to do 1
whatever is necessary to remove an animal from a hot car and to 2
provide civil immunity for any officer carrying out such action. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure the safety and protection of animals in the same manner as
provided under New York law.
