AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF BACKUP CAMERAS BY MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATORS UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 14-296aa of the general statutes, concerning the 1 prohibition of the use of certain electronic devices by motor vehicle 2 operators, be amended to permit a person under the age of eighteen to 3 use a backup camera while operating a motor vehicle on a public 4 highway provided such vehicle is equipped with a backup camera. 5 Statement of Purpose: To keep pace with evolving technology by permitting motor vehicle operators under the age of eighteen to use backup cameras while driving.
