AN ACT CONCERNING THE INCLUSION OF LANGUAGE AND
COMMUNICATION PLANS IN 504 PLANS FOR DEAF, HARD OF
HEARING AND DEAF -BLIND CHILDREN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-76jj of the general statutes be amended to include a 1
language and communication plan in any plan pursuant to Section 504 2
of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended from time to time, for 3
deaf, hard of hearing and deaf-blind children, and that such language 4
and communication plans include detailed safety plans for emergency 5
situations that are specific to the needs of the child. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To include language and communication plans in 504 plans for deaf,
hard of hearing and deaf-blind students.
