AN ACT CONCERNING EMERGENCY PLANNING FOR DEAF, HARD
OF HEARING AND DEAF -BLIND CHILDREN IN SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 10-222m and 10-222n of the general statutes be 1
amended to include provisions relating to emergency communication 2
plans for students who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind in the 3
school security and safety plan standards and each school's school 4
security and safety plan; further that section 10-292r of the general 5
statutes be amended to include provisions relating to emergency 6
communication plans for students who are deaf, hard of hearing or 7
deaf-blind in the school safety infrastructure criteria for school 8
building projects; and further that section 10-76jj of the general statutes 9
be amended to include provisions relating to emergency 10
communication plans in the individualized education program for any 11
child identified as deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind. 12
Statement of Purpose:
To create emergency planning for deaf, hard of hearing and deaf-blind
children in schools.
