Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 166 of the general statutes be amended to require that 1 applicants for an initial educator certificate successfully complete 2 courses in culturally-responsive teaching practices prior to being 3 issued professional certification. 4 Statement of Purpose: To require that applicants for teacher certification to successfully complete courses in culturally-responsive teaching practices prior to being issued certification.
