AN ACT CONCERNING SAFE BATHROOM FACILITIES AT SCHOOLS
FOR GENDER NONCONFORMING STUDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
local and regional boards of education ensure that students in middle 2
school and high school have equal access to gender-neutral bathroom 3
facilities. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To address the basic needs of gender nonconforming students by
ensuring that they have access to safe bathroom facilities while in
middle schools and high schools.
