AN ACT CONCERNING THE INCLUSION OF THE NATURALIZATION
TEST AS PART OF THE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION
REQUIREMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-221a of the general statutes be amended to include 1
passage of the naturalization test, administered by the United States 2
Citizenship and Immigration Services, as part of the high school 3
graduation requirements, and to permit students to take the 4
naturalization test as many times as necessary to pass. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require students to be educated in civics in order to graduate from
high school.
