2121 AN ACT CONCERNING THE REPORTING AND REPAIRING OF
2222 HAZARDOUS AND NONHAZARDOUS GAS LEAKS.
2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 That section 16-34a of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
2727 Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to open a docket to set a schedule 2
2828 for local gas distribution companies to repair, on or before January 1, 3
2929 2023, all hazardous and nonhazardous gas leaks reported to such 4
3030 companies on or before the effective date of this section and require all 5
3131 hazardous and nonhazardous gas leaks reported to such companies 6
3232 after the effective date of this section to be repaired within two 7
3333 business days of being reported. 8
3434 Statement of Purpose:
3535 To require the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to open a docket
3636 to set a schedule for local gas distribution companies to repair all
3737 existing hazardous and nonhazardous gas leaks and require all new
3838 hazardous and nonhazardous gas leaks to be repaired within two
3939 business days of being reported.
