AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE AND DISTRIBUTION OF SINGLE -
USE PLASTIC BAGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use and 1
distribution of single-use plastic bags while exempting garment bags 2
from such prohibition. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the nonbiodegradable plastics in the state's solid waste
stream.
