AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE AND DISTRIBUTION OF SINGLE -
USE PLASTIC BAGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use and 1
distribution of single-use plastic bags in grocery and retail 2
establishments. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the volume of nonbiodegradable plastics in the state's solid
waste stream and environment.
