AN ACT CONCERNING SINGLE-USE, PLASTIC BAGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use and 1
distribution of single-use, plastic bags while requiring a fifteen-cent fee 2
on paper and reusable bags. Additionally, such prohibition shall take 3
place over a three-year period. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the use of single-use, plastic bags.
