AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF NONREUSABLE PLASTIC BAGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to specify the requirements 1
for a reusable plastic bag, including the thickness of said bag, the 2
number of times such a bag can be reused, the chemical composition of 3
the bag and information which must be contained on the bag while 4
prohibiting the retail distribution of nonreusable plastic bags. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To ban nonreusable plastic bags.
