AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF CERTIFIED SERVICE PROVIDERS TO PROVIDE SALES AND USE TAX FUNCTIONS TO SELLERS IN THE STATE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 Commissioner of Revenue Services to contract with an agent or agents 2 certified as certified service providers by the Streamlined Sales Tax 3 Governing Board and to offer such agents' services to sellers in the 4 state to perform such sellers' sales and use tax functions. 5 Statement of Purpose: To require the Commissioner of Revenue Services to contract with an agent or agents certified as certified service providers by the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board and to offer such agents' services to sellers in the state to perform sales and use tax functions.
