AN ACT REQUIRING AUTOMATED DOORS BE ACCESSIBLE TO
PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AT STATE -FUNDED HOUSING FOR
THE ELDERLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 8 of the general statutes be amended to require all housing 1
for elderly persons funded by the Connecticut Housing Authority to 2
have at least one automated door accessible to persons with disabilities 3
that provides access to common facilities and community rooms. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow elderly persons with disabilities easy and safe access to
common facilities and community rooms at housing for elderly
persons funded by the Connecticut Housing Authority.
