AN ACT CONCERNING PROOF THAT A LANDLORD IS NOT 
RESIDING AT A RENTAL PROPERTY. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to allow a landlord to produce 1 
as proof that the landlord is not residing at a rental property owned by 2 
the landlord (1) a copy of the landlord's driver's license, (2) a utility bill 3 
addressed to the landlord's personal residence, (3) a lease agreement 4 
for the rental property, and (4) other information regarding the tenant 5 
or occupant of the rental property. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To allow a landlord to produce certain documents to prove the 
landlord is not residing at a rental property owned by the landlord.
