AN ACT RESTRICTING THE USE OF ACCELERATED REHABILITATION IN THE CASE OF ANIMAL CRUELTY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subsection (c) of section 54-56e of the general statutes be 1 amended to require a showing of good cause in order to invoke a 2 pretrial program for accelerated rehabilitation on behalf of a person 3 charged with animal abuse. 4 Statement of Purpose: To restrict the use of accelerated rehabilitation in cases of animal cruelty.
