23 | 23 | That section 52-205 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1 | |
24 | 24 | that: (1) There shall be a rebuttable presumption that a court may order 2 | |
25 | 25 | that any negligence action that is to be tried to a jury may be 3 | |
26 | 26 | bifurcated; (2) during the first phase of such trial the jury shall make a 4 | |
27 | 27 | determination on the issue of negligence; and (3) the second phase of 5 | |
28 | 28 | such trial shall address the issue of damages. 6 | |
