1818 AN ACT CONCERNING ELIGIBILITY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT
1919 BENEFITS AND SEASONAL AGRICULTURAL BUSINESSES.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That chapter 567 of the general statutes be amended to (1) update 1
2424 the base wage threshold triggering eligibility for unemployment 2
2525 benefits, (2) adjust such base wage threshold annually based on 3
2626 inflation, and (3) exempt agricultural employers from participation in 4
2727 the unemployment compensation system unless their employees 5
2828 satisfy the base wage threshold for at least two consecutive quarters in 6
2929 a calendar year. 7
3030 Statement of Purpose:
3131 To update the basis on which unemployment benefits will be required
3232 to be paid and protect seasonal agricultural businesses from
3333 disproportionate taxation.
