25 | 24 | | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2019) Any ambulance service 1 |

26 | 25 | | licensed or certified pursuant to chapter 368d of the general statutes (1) 2 |

27 | 26 | | may provide emergency transportation for a state or local law 3 |

28 | 27 | | enforcement K9 to an emergency animal hospital for treatment of an 4 |

29 | 28 | | injury or illness incurred in the line of duty, and (2) shall not be liable 5 |

30 | 29 | | for damages in a civil action or subject to criminal prosecution for the 6 |
