AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF POLYSTYRENE FOAM PRODUCTS WITH FOOD. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to prohibit (1) the distribution, 1 sale or offering for sale of polystyrene foam products to be used with 2 food for human consumption, (2) schools from using polystyrene foam 3 plates, trays, or food containers or packaging in student meal service, 4 and (3) restaurants from using polystyrene foam for both take-out 5 products and serving of products. 6 Statement of Purpose: To prohibit the use of polystyrene products with food.
