AN ACT ALLOWING OFF-DUTY POLICE OFFICERS TO CARRY
FIREARMS USED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF OFFICIAL DUTIES ON
SCHOOL GROUNDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 53a-217b of the general statutes be amended to allow a 1
police officer to carry a firearm used in the performance of the officer's 2
official duties on school grounds while not engaged in the 3
performance of official duties. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow off-duty police officers to carry firearms used in the
performance of official duties on school grounds.
