1420 AN ACT PROHIBITING THE SALE OF FLAVORED ELE CTRONIC
15-CIGARETTE LIQUID OUTSIDE OF RETAIL ESTABLISHMENT S THAT
16-PROHIBIT THE ENTRY OF MINORS.

1722 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2025 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2019) (a) As used in this section: 1
2126 (1) "Electronic cigarette liquid" has the same meaning as provided in 2
2227 section 53-344b of the general statutes; 3
2328 (2) "Flavoring agent" has the same meaning as provided in section 4
2429 20-617a of the general statutes; and 5
2530 (3) "Retail establishment" has the same meaning as provided in 6
2631 section 19a-106a of the general statutes. 7
27-(b) Except as provided in subsection (c) of this section, on and after 8
28-January 1, 2020, no retail establishment may sell or offer for sale 9
29-electronic cigarette liquid to which a flavoring agent or other extract, 10
30-compound or concentrate has been added for the purpose of flavoring 11
31-such liquid. 12
32-(c) The provisions of subsection (b) of this section shall not apply to 13
33-a retail establishment if minors are prohibited from entering the retail 14
34-establishment and the prohibition on minors entering the retail 15
35-establishment is posted clearly on all entrances of the retail 16 Substitute Bill No. 6404

43-(d) Any retail establishment that violates subsection (b) of this 18

45-offense, not more than three hundred fifty dollars for a second offense 20
