AN ACT CONCERNING THE INSTALLATION OF AN IGNITION
INTERLOCK DEVICE ON A MOTOR VEHICLE IN THE CASE OF A
PERSON WHO DOES NOT OWN A MOTOR VEHICLE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 14-227i of the general statutes be amended to provide 1
that persons required to install an ignition interlock device on each 2
motor vehicle operated be provided with an end date for the 3
suspension of a person's motor vehicle operating license in the case of 4
those persons who do not own a motor vehicle and can therefore not 5
install an ignition interlock device on such a vehicle. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To provide that persons required to install an ignition interlock device
on each motor vehicle operated be provided with an end date for the
suspension of a person's motor vehicle operating license in the case of
those persons who do not own a motor vehicle and can therefore not
install an ignition interlock device on such a vehicle.
