AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF FLAME RETARDANT CHEMICALS IN CHILDREN'S PRODUCTS AND UPHOLSTERED RESIDENTIAL FURNITURE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the sale and 1 distribution of children's products, except infant car seats, and 2 upholstered residential furniture containing organohalogen flame 3 retardant chemicals, provided such prohibition takes effect at a later 4 date to provide a reasonable enough time for the industry to adopt 5 such changes. 6 Statement of Purpose: To prohibit the sale and distribution of children's products containing flame retardant chemicals.
