2020 AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPORTATION OF POLICE DOGS BY
2121 AMBULANCE.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That the general statutes be amended to allow an ambulance to 1
2626 transport a police dog injured in the line of duty and in need of 2
2727 emergency medical care to a veterinary clinic or similar facility if there 3
2828 are no individuals in need of transportation or emergency assistance, 4
2929 provided a police officer may be required to accompany the dog 5
3030 during transportation. 6
3131 Statement of Purpose:
3232 To provide for the safety and well being of police dogs by allowing an
3333 ambulance to transport a police dog injured in the line of duty and in
3434 need of emergency medical care to a veterinary clinic or similar facility
3535 if there are no individuals in need of transportation or emergency
3636 assistance.
