AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF EQUITY
COMPANY OWNERSHIP OF MEDICAL PRACTICES ON THE PUBLIC
HEALTH.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the Commissioner of Public Health be required to study the 1
impact of equity ownership of medical practices on the public health. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To determine whether equity company ownership of medical practices
poses a risk to the quality of care provided by such practices.
