AN ACT CONCERNING THE DISTRIBUTION OF VESSEL
REGISTRATION FEES TO MUNICIPALITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 15 of the general statutes be amended to require the state 1
to distribute to municipalities fees collected from the registration of 2
vessels pursuant to section 15-144 of the general statutes. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To reinstate payment in lieu of taxes to municipalities for revenue loss
associated with the exemption of boats from the property tax.
