AN ACT REQUIRING MUNICIPAL PLANS OF CONSERVATION AND
DEVELOPMENT TO INCLUDE CERTAIN PROVISIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 8-23 of the general statutes be amended to require 1
planning commissions to include in plans of conservation and 2
development provisions for multifamily housing and the promotion of 3
housing choice and economic diversity in consideration of the state's 4
housing needs in order for municipalities to be eligible for 5
discretionary state funding. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require planning commissions to include in plans of conservation
and development provisions for multifamily housing and the
promotion of housing choice and economic diversity in consideration
of the state's housing needs in order for municipalities to be eligible for
discretionary state funding.
