26 | 25 | | Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) There is established a task force 1 |
---|
27 | 26 | | to study the timing of the adoption of the state budget and the effect of 2 |
---|
28 | 27 | | such timing on municipal budget preparations. 3 |
---|
29 | 28 | | (b) The task force shall consist of the following members: 4 |
---|
30 | 29 | | (1) Two appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives; 5 |
---|
31 | 30 | | (2) Two appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate; 6 |
---|
32 | 31 | | (3) One appointed by the majority leader of the House of 7 |
---|
33 | 32 | | Representatives; 8 |
---|
34 | 33 | | (4) One appointed by the majority leader of the Senate; 9 |
---|
35 | 34 | | (5) One appointed by the minority leader of the House of 10 |
---|

44 | 42 | | (7) The Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, or the 13 |

47 | 45 | | (c) Any member of the task force appointed under subdivision (1), 16 |
---|
48 | 46 | | (2), (3), (4), (5) or (6) of subsection (b) of this section may be a member 17 |
---|
49 | 47 | | of the General Assembly. 18 |

50 | 48 | | (d) All appointments to the task force shall be made not later than 19 |
---|
51 | 49 | | thirty days after the effective date of this section. Any vacancy shall be 20 |
---|
52 | 50 | | filled by the appointing authority. 21 |
---|
53 | 51 | | (e) The speaker of the House of Representatives and the president 22 |
---|
54 | 52 | | pro tempore of the Senate shall select the chairpersons of the task force 23 |
---|
55 | 53 | | from among the members of the task force. Such chairpersons shall 24 |
---|
56 | 54 | | schedule the first meeting of the task force, which shall be held not 25 |
---|
57 | 55 | | later than sixty days after the effective date of this section. 26 |
---|
58 | 56 | | (f) The administrative staff of the joint standing committee of the 27 |
---|
59 | 57 | | General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to planning 28 |
---|
60 | 58 | | and development shall serve as administrative staff of the task force. 29 |
---|
61 | 59 | | (g) Not later than January 1, 2020, the task force shall submit a 30 |
---|
62 | 60 | | report on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing 31 |
---|
63 | 61 | | committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 32 |
---|
64 | 62 | | relating to planning and development, in accordance with the 33 |
---|
65 | 63 | | provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes. The task force shall 34 |
---|
66 | 64 | | terminate on the date that it submits such report or January 1, 2020, 35 |
---|
67 | 65 | | whichever is later. 36 |
---|
68 | 66 | | This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following |
