AN ACT CONCERNING ILLEGAL PARKING IN A SPACE RESERVED FOR PERSONS WHO ARE BLIND OR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subsection (l) of section 14-253a of the general statutes be 1 amended to increase the fine for parking illegally in a space reserved 2 for persons who are blind or persons with disabilities to two hundred 3 fifty dollars for a first-time violation and five hundred dollars for a 4 subsequent violation and to provide that blocking the cross hatch lines 5 of such a space shall be subject to a fine. 6 Statement of Purpose: To strengthen parking laws for persons who are blind or persons with disabilities by increasing the fine for a violation.
