AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS TO
REDUCE EMISSIONS AND VEHICLE MILES TRAVELED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) increase the number of 1
electric vehicle charging stations and publicize the locations of such 2
stations, (2) promote the sale of electric vehicles, (3) encourage bike 3
shares in association with transit stations, (4) establish a 4
Transportation Authority to operate public transit and protect 5
transportation funds, and (5) prioritize public investment in transit-6
oriented development zones. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce carbon emissions and vehicle miles traveled, improve
commuting and air quality and reduce the risks of climate change.
