9		-	AN ACT CONCERNING TH E ISSUANCE OF ~~PARKIN G~~ CITATIONS
10		-	BY INDEPENDENT INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER ~~ED UCATION~~ AND
	14	+	AN ACT CONCERNING TH E ISSUANCE OF PARKING CITATIONS BY
	15	+	INDEPENDENT INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND
11	16		PRIVATE SECONDARY SC HOOLS.
12	17		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
13	18		Assembly convened:

15		-	Section 1. Subsection (d) of section 14-145 of the general statutes is
16		-	repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from
17		-	passage):
18		-	(d) No owner or lessee of private property, or his or her agent, shall
19		-	issue a parking citation by written warning, posted signage or other
20		-	means to impose a monetary sanction on an owner of a motor vehicle
21		-	parked on such property. The provisions of this subsection shall not
22		-	apply to an independent institution of higher education, as defined in
23		-	subsection (a) of section 10a-173, or a private secondary school.
