AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES IN THE
STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 14 of the general statutes be amended to permit electric 1
vehicle manufactures who do not have existing relationships with new 2
or used car dealers in the state to decide where and how to sell and 3
service electric vehicles. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To facilitate the sale of electric vehicles and thereby accelerate the
adoption of electric vehicles, transition to a zero carbon economy,
reduce greenhouse gas emissions and bring sales tax revenue from the
sale of electric vehicles to the state.
