AN ACT CREATING CERTAIN PROTECTIONS FOR CUSTOMERS OF 
ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES WHO GENERATE THEIR 
OWN ELECTRICITY FROM RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to create protections for 1 
customers of electric distribution companies who generate their own 2 
electricity from renewable energy sources regarding such customers' 3 
generation and consumption of electricity, export of electricity to the 4 
electric grid and reduction of a customer's use of electricity from the 5 
electric grid. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To create certain protections for customers of electric distribution 
companies who generate their own electricity from renewable energy 
sources.
