1821 AN ACT ESTABLISHING A REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE
1922 PROGRAM.
2023 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2124 Assembly convened:

23-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Not later than October 1, 1
24-2020, the Commissioner of Agriculture shall adopt regulations, in 2
25-accordance with the provisions of chapter 54 of the general statutes, to 3
26-require the achievement of minimum carbon and water content for soil 4
27-that is used to meet generally accepted regenerative agriculture 5
28-practice standards. Such regulations shall include, but not be limited 6
29-to, a definition of the term "regenerative agriculture" that is consistent 7
30-with generally accepted standards for carbon and water soil content 8
31-pursuant to such practice and standards and requirements for any 9
32-grant that the commissioner may award for the purpose of 10
33-encouraging the practice of regenerative agriculture in the state. 11
34-This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
35-sections:
