AN ACT CONCERNING URBAN PARK AND OPEN SPACE USED FOR
SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that any urban park 1
or urban open space that is converted in use for school construction 2
purposes be replaced within one-half mile of such location. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To guarantee that alternative sites are discussed in public before
precious park space in urban areas is taken for the purpose of school
construction.
