AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF ACCESSIBLE RAMPS, POWER ASSISTED
DOORS, ELEVATORS AND ACCESSIBLE BATHROOMS FOR
PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN ALL STATE OFFICE FACILITIES
WHERE THE PUBLIC MAY REQUIRE ACCESS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3
____ dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of 4
Administrative Services for the installation of accessible ramps, power 5
assisted doors, elevators and accessible bathrooms for persons with 6
disabilities in all state office facilities where the public may require 7
access. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding for the installation of accessible ramps, power
assisted doors, elevators and accessible bathrooms for persons with
disabilities in all state office facilities where the public may require
access.
