AN ACT ELIMINATING THE PROPERTY TAX ON MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the property tax 1
on motor vehicles and offset the resulting revenue loss by eliminating 2
existing tax credits and exemptions and compensating municipalities 3
with the revenue gained. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To provide financial relief to residents by eliminating the property tax
on motor vehicles.
