AN ACT CONCERNING STATE-ISSUED DEBIT CARDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 4 of the general statutes be amended to require that any 1
state agency that issues a prepaid debit card as payment (1) for 2
purchases of goods or services received by such agency, or (2) of 3
benefits, shall use a debit card issued by a financial institution that is 4
located in this state. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent recipients of debit cards issued by a state agency from
being charged fees for using the cards.
