AN ACT CONCERNING PAYMENT PARITY FOR STATE -FUNDED
BEHAVIORAL AND MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to address regional inequities 1
in state payment levels per client of behavioral and mental health 2
service providers funded by the Departments of Mental Health and 3
Addiction Services and Social Services. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure adequate provision of behavioral health and mental health
services within eastern Connecticut by offering state payment levels
equal to other regions and sufficient enough to improve the ability of
providers to attract qualified staff.
