Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 38a-686 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1 insurance companies from using territorial rating and an applicant's or 2 insured's credit history as factors in underwriting or rating private 3 passenger nonfleet automobile insurance policies. 4 Statement of Purpose: To prohibit insurance companies from using territorial rating and an applicant's or insured's credit history as factors in underwriting or rating private passenger nonfleet automobile insurance policies.
