Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 700 of the general statutes be amended to require each 1 insurer that delivers, issues for delivery, renews, amends or endorses a 2 homeowners insurance policy for a residential property in this state to 3 offer coverage for the removal of trees from such property that have 4 fallen onto such property due to a natural disaster. 5 Statement of Purpose: To require each insurer that delivers, issues for delivery, renews, amends or endorses a homeowners insurance policy for a residential property in this state to offer coverage for the removal of trees from such property that have fallen onto such property due to a natural disaster.
