2121 AN ACT CONCERNING THE ADMISSIBILITY OF STATEMENTS MADE
2222 BY A PERSON WITH AN INTELLECTUAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL
2323 DISABILITY IN A CRIMINAL OR JUVENILE PROCEEDING.
2424 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2525 Assembly convened:

2727 That section 54-86l of the general statutes be amended to include a 1
2828 statement by a person with an intellectual or developmental disability, 2
2929 including autism, as statements that may be admissible, despite any 3
3030 other rule of evidence, in a criminal or juvenile proceeding. 4
3131 Statement of Purpose:
3232 To require that a statement made by a person with an intellectual or
3333 developmental disability, including autism, at the time of the offense
3434 be admissible in a criminal or juvenile proceeding.
