AN ACT CONCERNING THERAPY PETS IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to permit therapy animals, as 1 defined in section 17a-22ee of the general statutes, to enter any public 2 building for an educational, comforting or healing purpose when 3 accompanied by a registered handler. 4 Statement of Purpose: To allow therapy pets access to public buildings in which they and their handler are performing an educational, comforting or healing purpose.
