AN ACT CONCERNING PREVAILING WAGES FOR INMATES OF
CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 18 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Department of Correction to pay incarcerated individuals prevailing 2
wages and benefits for work performed. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To increase prison wages and benefits to prevailing standards so that
inmates can fund their potential reentry into the community.
